The Barnett Family
I honestly think I have the best “job” in the entire world. To make friends, capture such huge milestones in their lives and watch their kids and family grow. Lacey, Matt and I first met when they were pregnant with Madeline. I photographed their maternity portraits, then newborn images and Madeline’s 1 year photo shoot. Then along came sweet Graham with a whole new set of maternity photography, newborn photography and now here he is at 7 months old!
It is such a joy to me when clients keep coming back, because that means they love the pictures I get for them. And they also have sent so many of their friends my way, which is amazing and I am so very grateful for the recommendations.
Photography is not only the way I earn my living, but it’s an extremely satisfying career. I smile at my computer the entire time I’m culling a session. If my husband and kids are in the room while I’m going through photographs, they usually stop and come over to look through with me. Photographs have a way of pulling you in, art will never become old to me. Family photography is so important. I believe everyone needs to have beautiful images taken of their family, of their kids and babies and of all of the important milestones because life is short and babies don’t keep.
Now for the pictures..
We started out this family session with the Valentines backdrop. I had just done Carter’s Session so I left up the Valentine set and did a few shots with the Barnett Family before switching over to the cream.
The last time I photographed this family was at Graham’s newborn photo shoot and poor Madeline was just not having it. Something about adjusting to life as a big sister just wasn’t going smoothly for her. But she came around to me at this session and did so amazing.
Oh Graham, you are too handsome.
Madeline, you are getting so big and you are such a pretty young lady.
I love the tickling pictures the best. They bring out such a fun, sweet moment.
Isn’t Lacey such a stunning Mama?!
This… this right here might be my favorite picture ever.
I hope you enjoyed the Barnett’s portraits. Contact me to schedule your own Family portrait session. My photography studio is located in Independence, Missouri inside of the Epic Sports Lodge and I would love to hear from you!
