Carter is a Valentine’s Day Baby! And this is a very special birthday because he is turning ONE YEAR OLD!! I was lucky enough to be his newborn photographer and I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since I saw him last. In fact, he was one of the first newborns I had to photograph in the studio.
I also had the honor of capturing his mom and dad’s wedding, so I’ve known this little guy and his family from the very beginnings.

Such a big boy standing on his own, it won’t be long before he is walking and running all over!
This is where things started turning a bit silly because his dad and I started tossing the balloons at him. Photo sessions need to keep kiddos entertained; otherwise, they get bored fast. With my mix of games, songs and animals noises (and maybe some toe tickles) I keep picture time fun and memorable.
Baby Photography is best kept short and sweet. I’m able to get a huge variety of poses and images in a short amount of time. Carter’s portrait session lasted less than 30 minutes, but by moving quickly and interacting with him we were able to keep him busy and having fun!
One of my last images I took of him and it’s probably my favorite. Look at his genuine smile and happy face.
