It’s so exciting to receive awards!! Even as an adult, for your business. I feel like amazing things are coming for me and my photography studio. I started taking portraits in 2008, right before my son was born. I was working full time at a corporate job in Kansas City at the time and photography was just something extra fun to do and I made a little extra money with it! Helped me buy baby items and some groceries.
Then my son was born and I quit my full time job to raise him. I kept up with my photography, although it was very part time. I did mostly family portraits and weddings at the time. Then my daughter came along in 2012 but still, continued as a photographer although I had even less time for it. Once my daughter started Kindergarten, I had to decide if I was going to take my photography business and turn it more full time or if I needed to move on and get another job.
Although it is a tough market out there, I am making it and continue to grow! It’s been fun, challenging and exciting and I couldn’t do it without all of my amazing clients and supporters. Thank you all for being on my side.
