Meet Baby Maylee!
Maylee was exactly 2 weeks old at her newborn photoshoot with me, but she happened to be born 2 weeks after her due date! When she came through the door, I was so shocked to see how mature and alert she looked for a 2 week old! She was such a good girl for her newborn baby pictures even being awake and alert for most of it. I was still able to get a great variety of poses and angles.
We started off with froggy pose as I usually do. This definitely isn’t my best froggy, but girl wouldn’t sleep. I also like to angle a little more downward (instead of up the nose) but with her eyes open, I tried to get in her line of vision for some eye contact.

Newborn Photography sessions are best done within the first 2 weeks following birth if possible because babies tend to be sleepiest. When babies are sleepy and new they allow me to pose them easily for their newborn photography session. As a newborn photographer, I absolutely love working with each and every baby that comes into my studio.
