The Sinclair Family

It’s been an honor to know the Sinclair family for years now and I have photographed them several times. We know each other through church and it’s been so wonderful to watch their children and family grow.
Their oldest daughter Vanessa is graduating from High School, so we combined a family portrait session and a senior portrait session into one! Because it was a fairly chilly day and because they have a couple younger ones, we started off with the family session first then let the littles go hang out in the warm car while we finished off with Vanessa’s senior pictures.
I told the girls to pretend that we were in Florida on the beach with sunshine and sand and that immediately got some pretty smiles from them.
This location is so gorgeous in any season. In Spring and Summer, it’s a beautiful green. Come Fall, we have gorgeous warm Autumn colors and in winter, it’s a nice rich, warm neutral.
I loved Vanessa’s outfit choices and can’t believe she’s already graduating from High School!
I should have shot a pull-back on this. Most people who pass this spot on the trail wouldn’t probably think twice about taking a picture in it.. a patch of tall, overgrown weeds. But as a photographer, it immediately pulls me in. With the textures and depth that it gives, just stick on a telephoto lens and it produces an amazing shot!
