Lake Olathe – James Family
It’s a great day when you can fit in a beautiful family and maternity photo session on one of the prettiest days of Winter! Winter is honestly one of my favorite seasons to shoot in. I love the warm neutrals of the backdrop and scenery. I met the James Family at Lake Olathe for some outdoor family and maternity portraits. Won’t be long before their new baby girl will be here and I’ll get to meet her for a newborn session in my studio.
I have a feeling this baby is going to be very loved. Her older brother and sister and so excited to meet her!
Such pretty light during “golden hour”. My favorite time to shoot is right before sunset.
Do you know that one of my favorite spots for pictures is a field with tall grass and weeds? Simple locations with good texture provide the best backdrops that allow the focus to be on what’s most important.. family!
I try to provide a good mixture of posed and real-life photography! Where kids can be kids and have fun!
But still get those genuine smiles.
